Lovely Monday.

Jayden stayed Friday night (and used up all my download) then to the football Saturday arvo, then had Liam and Ethan on Saturday night, till lunch time on Sunday.

Sunday had to drive to Avondale Heights to  a bbq for my cousin's (Ian)  wife's (Dot) 70th Birthday.  Didn't stay long and takes over an hour to get there and wanted to be back before all the traffic after the Sunday football.

just talked to my other cousin Noel (his brother) and his wife (Bev), which was nice as we don't see nearly enough of each other because they all live the other side of the city.  (Should make the effort though).  didn't get a photo of the birthday girl, but Noel sent me this photo.

Anyway we had fun catching up even though I wasn't there for much over an hour.  Came home and realized has work to do for someones birthday.  Called in a bought another present and then had some wrapping to do.

Today was Joan's birthday, and we went into town for lunch at the Windsor Hotel, which is a very grand old lady.  Think I may have shown you pictures before.  We went for their famous afternoon tea, but was actual our lunch.  Forgot the photos, (surprise surprise) until nearly finished.  So sorry.   :)  She loved her earrings by the way, and although you can't see in the photo, she did wear them, and the pendant.

 The birthday girl.

The tea, and there are about 10 different ones to choose from.  Joan had Irish Breakfast, and I had Marsala Chai.   )(which has a cinnamon taste)

A long shot of the dining room.  (Most had left by this time)

This was what was left of the food.  Lovely club sandwiches........cucumber, egg, salmon, ham & mustard and tuna.  Two of everything.
Then various cakes.  Small portions, but sufficient to have a lovely taste.  And warm scones, with jam and lovely thick cream.

This is looking out from the dining room into the hallway off the foyer.  To many people in the foyer, so didn't like to take a photo.

Then tried to get a good
photo of the chandelier's but hard when the lights are on.

Then went for a wander through some shops.  Joan's daughter had given her some money to buy herself something.  Went through Royal Arcade which has this clock, with Gog and Magog.  Not sure if I have shown you before.  Sorry if I have.   Came home in time to finish off the parsnip and leek soup I started last night.  Didn't have the cream.  Was very rich and quite tasty.   Very thick too.   Will take a photo  the next time I have some as have frozen the rest.

A good day all round, and hope your day is as good.

You've been busy - again. Going here and there. But everything seemed wonderful. Parties are good! =D

I see my cousins families quite rarely. They live so far away from us and have their own busy schedules. Lucky to have them as my FB friends though. Keep hearing some of their happenings there. ;)

I love the photo of you smiling! Your smile always moves my lips into a smiling position, too. Looking at your photos have started me thinking if there's something in the Australian air that keeps people looking younger? You all look so good!

And Joan is cute with the beautiful pendant and the earrings. The other earring is visible when clicked the photo bigger. That option on blogspot is great, nothing similar on vuodatus.

And the photos of the place are also wonderful. Quite elevated surroundings and even the crockeries are looking really dignified.

The clock is magnificient, too!

Yes, have been busy and the Windsor is a nice place.

Was good to catch up with the cousins even if it was only for a short time.

You are too kind. I think I look my age. Young at heart though =D
