Weekend stuff

Saturday was really hot, so didn't do much at all.  Ro was here a lot over the week, which is a real pain and I have to pick him up and drop him home.  Sunday I went to the seminar on "Planning your overseas trip - Genealogy"
It also covered things  to take for novices like myself.  They did suggest talking a thermos(Vacuum) flask, but as I don't drink hot drinks, can't see the need.  :D

Mitch stretched out in the heat on Saturday.  Has finished his watermelon.  :)

Decided to give him a brush too......................

Don't know about Kissi, but his fur goes everywhere.............................................................................

Was worse that this, but gives you some idea, you can't sweep it up, as it just floats.  :D

Lots of rain today.  The temperature was a bit cooler, about 29, but very humid and sticky.  Too sum video of the cars going through the water, but not sure if it will load.  Sorry about the voices, Jay had the TV on in the same room.  So ignore that. :)  This is supposed to be a road.  :D

Cinders was not comfortable with the storm, which is unusual, but needed some TLC.   (Tender Loving Care)

Not often that she jumps up on my lap when I am in the kitchen.

Then settled down for some petting.
Also took some photos of her earlier.  She was inside for most of the day which again is unusual, she likes the outdoors.

First she was on the rug in my treatment room,
Then moved onto the pillow on the massage table.  Which is her favourite spot.  If I leave the door open, she makes straight for there.  :)

Then Demi was on my bed, which is HER usual spot, and gave me a dirty look when I made the bed and disturbed her, but when I fetched the camera, she decided  to just get on with cleaning herself.
Wouldn't you like to be that flexible  :D

Keep well, and dry  :)

Games

Didn't get to take any photos, but we played Logo on Saturday night, but didn't get around to playing Taboo.  We had fun with the Logo though, lots of laughs and silly answers.

There are pictures on the front of the card, and four questions to answer.  The pictures can be part of a brand name or a product without the name, and you have to guess what it is.  Shows how much you watch the ads and for someone who professes not to watch TV, I won both games.  Jay played in the first game and he enjoyed it too.  Next time we will try Taboo.

Busy week this week, so will try and post later in the week.

Just noticed that I didn't publish this post...................silly me.

Sorry

Didn't realize how long since I posted.  Jay was been unwell this week, so don't know where the time has gone.  He is fully recovered today.  Not doing much as it is so hot.

Went to a meeting on Monday night,  and forgot to take a photo, but it was a carvery, so just  roast beef and roast vegetables.

Then Tuesday went into town for lunch with Marg and Janet.  Again, no real photo opportunities.  You have seen most of the city before  :D

Then out for tea again on Tuesday night for Lynne's birthday, but forgot to take my meal which was flathead (fish) tails, chips and salad, but Pauline had this mini pavlova for dessert.  Looks yummy.

Today, Jay and I have just finished eating our ice tubes.  Nice and cool on a hot day.  Jayden's was bubblegum flavour.....
Mine was blackcurrant.  My arms aren't quite long enough  :D
Had to give Mitch another shower today and he really smelt bad.  You might just see that his tail is still a bit wet and it is hours later.

He has been inside for two days now because of the heat.  As you can see he is stretched out trying to keep cool.  Haven't had to close any doors and he stays mainly in the kitchen these day.

He has finished his watermelon as you can see.  Must go see is he wants more.

Spoke to Dave that I was going to see in England, and he has offered to come to Cornwall with me to help show me around, which is very kind of him.  He lives in Spalding, which is on the east coast in Lincolnshire and north of London.  I am very blessed with lots of good and kind friends.\

Am going to a seminar tomorrow on "Preparing for your overseas trip"  relating to genealogy.

Only 9 weeks and seems to be so much still to do.  Need a rainproof jacket and some comfortable walking shoes.  Have a travel card, which can be used in ATM's.  (Is that what you call them?)  (Automated Teller Machines)  but will also get some cash, for things like the bus and train, and any food or drinks I want.

There are probably other things, but will think about them later

Can't wait to get there   <3<3<3<3

Jayden is jealous because I will get to pat all your pets, especially Kadi, she is his favourite too.

Gone again.

The weeks are flying and I am really thinking I have to get my act together.  This volunteer job is turning out to be a bit of  a hassle.  Went to put in the application for the Working With Children form and they are so fussy had to have two lots of photos taken.  The first lot were too blurry.  Had the fumbles all day, dropping everything.  Still, it is now time for bed, so survived the day.

Went to a function for the football club last night.  We had a tremendous storm late afternoon.  Ro and I were out in the garage and got stuck there the rain was so heavy it just poured over the guttering.  The storm was directly overhead as a couple of times the lightning and thunder were simultaneous.  So loud.
Then had to drive the other side of the city and into town was ok, but took me a long time to get from the city to Footscray.  What would normally be about 15-20 minutes took nearly 45.  So I was a bit late.

I didn't think about the main meal, as it was served not long after I arrived.  It was chicken with sun-dried tomatoes or flathead tails, which is what I had.  Quite nice.
The sweets were vanilla panna cotta with strawberries, well, two slices of strawberry  :D
It was quite nice.

And golden syrup dumplings with ice-cream.  The dumplings looked nice too.

The trip home was a lot better.

My sister came over today, because she likes the corned silverside that my butcher prepares.  She didn't stay long.

Ro was here for a while, then after tea, Jay and I watched the Green Lantern.  Wasn't bad if you like that sort of film.  Am going to watch Avatar again this weekend if I can find the time.

Hope your weekend goes well.  Hugs and kisses.

11 weeks to go.  <3<3

I remembered...................

Thought I would take some photos of Ethan's presents BEFORE I wrapped them :)

These are Bey Blades which are some sort of spinning top  toy thing.  But what he wants.
And a couple of games for the Wii.  He likes to play Cafe World on Facebook, so thought he might like this one.  Am going to wrap them individually, as he said he wants lots of presents.

He asked for an iPod.  He is six for crying out loud.  Unbelievable.   Not getting one though.

 And wrapped.  :D

Hope you have been able to access your email.

Hugs and kisses.  Hope the furry ones don't get too distressed with their check up and vaccinations.

Been a while

Don't know what I did last week except I seem to be shopping a  lot.  Making the most of not having Jayden around during the day.  Have a friend who will be sixty next week and went with Joan to look at some jewellery.  Had it wrapped at the shop so can't show you.  But matching necklace and earrings.  Paid more than I intended.  Joan is a bad influence.  :)

Just as a teaser, you can look at the wrapping.

Had to take a photo of Jay in his school uniform for his mum............and for me.  He is now taking the bus to school, which is a lot easier for me.  He has to leave about 15 minutes earlier, but so far he is coping well.  I am also hoping that this will give him more confidence.

Hopefully have more to add nearer the weekend.

Keep well, safe and warm.

Hugs and kisses.

Just remembered, finally found the game Taboo.  Hope to play it this weekend.  Joan also played a game called Logo, which she said was good fun, and we might play that one too.  Will let you know.

Lost Camera

Couldn't find my camera just when I needed it.   Had to resort to the phone camera.  Not quite as much control,  I don't use it often and forget how to use it properly  :)

I decided that we had to make more room in Jay's wardrobe, and found this plastic bag, full of handkerchiefs, scarves, gloves and other "stuff".  Took some to be washed and came back and found this  :D
Cats are so good at finding new and interesting places to curl up, aren't they.  And give us so much amusement when they do.

Today was Jay's first day and high school, or secondary college as it is now known.   Year 7 anyway.  They have over 1400 students at this school, one of the biggest schools around.  Over 240 year 7's started today.  Quite daunting for them all.  They started at 8.48 and finished at 1.07pm, and start at 10am tomorrow.  Silly times, but next week will be 8.48 start and 3.15 finish.

This is a little dark, and I can't see properly on the phone, and can't adjust the light.

This is better, and the young lass lives next door the flat that Rohan has, and she and Jay are quite good friends.  A nice young lass.

Anyone he has survived, but is not very happy.  Am trying to coax out of him what the problem is but not much success at the moment.

Hope you have a great weekend and that your week has been going well.
