Sunday night up-date

My dear darling adorable pesky rabbit kept me up most of last night. Don't like to leave him out all night, but he just wouldn't come in, so when Tomic finished his tennis game at Wimbledon,  about 4am, I went to be and left the back door open so he could come into the back porch and laundry.

Had Jayden from Friday afternoon to Saturday, early evening.   Took him home just after tea.

I am wanting to take down the sign  out the front as am getting people calling in and ringing looking for appointments and we don't want new clients.   But there is a light over it and wasn't sure how to remove the whole thing safely.  My elder son came to check it out.  It turns on in the ceiling.  We have an attic ladder and store lots of junk up there in the roof, so have been cleaning it out.  So dirty and dusty.  Still I found out where the power starts and was able to disconnect it.

Have also spent the rest of the day looking for some usb memory sticks that I have tied together.  Haven't located them yet.

Tonight we went out for tea at a local club for Pauline's birthday (which was last week)

Started with Garlic Bread (nearly forgot the photo)

Lynne had the tortellini. mushroom and spinach, but not very tasty she said.

Glenys had chicken schnitzel, these are all seniors meals which are smaller serves, and cheaper

Pauline and I had the roast pork.  Mine particularly was huge for a seniors meal.

Have had better,  The pork was very tasty.

For sweets, Lynne and Glenys both had the tiramasu.

Pauline and I had the vanilla creme brulee with rhubarb.
I had finished mine before I remembered the photos, and Pauline had almost finished hers.  The sweets were all nice.  :D

We sat and talked for ages.  A really great night.  Still haven't been able to download from my phone as the cable is difficult to find here.  Have found one on ebay so have to wait for it to arrive from Hong Kong =D

Have a good week.  (a little aside........when would be best time to come over, as you indicated that April might not be the best weather, I am fairly flexible.)

New goodies

Went to a big function on Saturday night, and am beginning to worry about my memory, cause ate everything before I remember to take photos.

Was off taking photos of all the footballers and other guests, but nothing of the food.  Except these sweets that were served with the coffee. don't know what they were like as I didn't have any.

The entree was a pasta filled with ricotta and something.  The main meal a chicken dish or a steak dish.  The sweets were a triple headers, with coconut ice cream, chocolate mousse and cheesecake, all very small portions.

This is the father of one of our new players young Tom. Father, Tony, played between 1986 and 2002.

Today went out for lunch and took some photos but on my phone because as I mentioned on your blog, I left my memory card at home and the camera doesn't have an internal memory.  My other camera did.

The rest of the photos were of players, so not very interesting for you  :D

Went shopping on the way home.  Love Officeworks.

Found these storage boxes.  Lovely cloth type covering in a sage green
this is the inside, and just the right size for my family documents.  All the birth, marriage and death certificates.  All previous boxes were too short.  Also lots of other stationery items.

This little containers contains all sorts of neat goodies.

All this for only $5AUD.

 two sizes of bulldog clips.
 Shaped rubber bands.

And small pegs.  They are yellow or purple, but colour could be better.  Also probably a bit hard to judge the size.   So took a picture of these and a normal clothes peg.

the small ones are so cute.

Some erasers to go on the end of pencils in cute designs.
And some small plastic bulldog clips in a pretty aqua.

Love all these things are so cute, I can't resist them.  I will try and add the photos from today soon.
almost weekend again.  Where does the time go?????????????????????

Full moon

There was a lunar eclipse this morning, so decided to get up and watch it.  It was very cold, and even though I managed to position myself inside to watch and take photos, the camera became sluggish, so the later ones are not very good.  But I did try  :)

And whilst I was freezing my little backside off, someone was cosy in my bed.  =D

Stage 1

Stage 2

Stage 3...............the full eclipse too over an hour.

By this time, the shutter was very sluggish and had to warm up the camera.  It was about 5.30am by the time I took this shot.

This is the total eclipse, and I was so cold, even though the heater was on and I had my moomin rug around me.  I quit and went back to bed.  So didn't get the reverse.

I have finally finished the cardigan for my mother-in-law.  Not sure when I will take it down to her.  It looks awfully big, so hope it fits.  She nominated the size.  Keep your fingers crossed or what ever you do for luck I can't remember, even though you did tell me  :D

Not easy to get good shots of these sort of things is it.

I bought myself a new version of my genealogy programme, Family Tree Maker.  So will be spending lots of time on that.  This version allows you to add photos, so will be trying that.

Football again tomorrow (Friday) night, and then we have a big fundraising dinner on Saturday night.  Still deciding what to wear as it is a dress up affair.  (Need Laura here to help me  :D )

I am currently waiting for that pesky rabbit to come inside. It is after midnight and it is cold with the door open, hoping he will bring himself inside.  Yesterday he didn't want to go outside.  I just can win with this rabbit.   :)

Have a great weekend.  Hugs and kisses.

Just another Monday

Saw Mitch in the garden trying to outstare the statue.  Funny rabbit.  He was thumping vigorously, guess he thought there was an intruder in his patch.  Mind you the rabbit was there before him  :D

Yesterday took Rohan and Jayden down to Frankston (50 kms away) to see my ex and Ro's dad.  He is back in hospital.  Needed more blood transfusions.

We took a walk along the beach after but guess what, forgot I had the camera.............yet again.

Though Jayden found it as we were nearly home and took these shots.

Not a lot of colour but the sun had already gone down.

Today is a public holiday to celebrate the Queen's birthday.  (any excuse for a holiday)  Just spent the day doing a little bit of gardening.  Found some of the plants I had recently put in being overrun by some bulbs, so had to do some culling.  Too late in the day to take photos sorry.

Not much else happened. Friday night at the football, and Saturday and Sunday nights Jayden stayed over, so didn't get a lot done apart from some knitting.  Ah well, there is always tomorrow..............................

Have a great week.

Wednesday

Still wet and windy.  Worked a bit today and took Joan out shopping again.  I think she is compensating for not eating by spending money.   I did buy a new fan heater for the office today though.

Have plenty of work to do in the garden when it stops raining.  These daphnes have to be planted somewhere. Joan and Nils grew them from cutting of their plant, which I am sure I took photos of  for you last year.

Also this thyme, and not sure where to put it either.

My mum always had lily of the valley, so when I found some I just had to buy them.  Have to find a very special place for them and they can be a bit fragile.

Saw this "fairy bells" or tetratheca which looks pretty and is an australian native so just had to have it too :D

Looks like it will have lots of flowers.

Tried a new recipe tonight.  Potato pancakes.  Not bad, though I put in some ginger and used too much.  Were much better when I added some bacon and some nutmeg.

This is the new dressing gown I bought the other day.  The colour is just about right.  Found slippers to match too.  Should talk about Joan and her spending.  Have done a bit myself  :)

Hope your week isn't too hot for you.

Stay cool and safe ..........................hugs and kisses.

Another new week.

Week has gone.  Had all the boys on Saturday, which was fun.  Bit worried about Liam wearing a necklace :D

Ethan at the computer with his new football hat on.  He is not sure if he will follow his mum's team Carlton or Gran's team the Bulldogs.  So he has two hats.  Forgot to take a photo of the other one.

Here they are, Will (Jayden's friend) Ethan, Jayden and Liam.(Who was supposed to be going to sleep.  :)
Then on Sunday I caught this shot.

And then this one.  Not sure if she thinks it is Mitch

Finally rabbit proofed the back yard.  Some chicken wire to cover the power lead going up the pole,  not sure if you can see it.
This was where the cable is running, which Mitch could just squeeze into, so.............
had to put a row of bricks over it.  Seems to be working well, fortunately had plenty of bricks.
So I opened up the door and........................................
should I come out or not.  Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.  I will think about it.
Made a pavlova to take to the meeting tonight.  Haven't made one for ages as my oven is not good for slow cooking.  So not at good as I have made previously.  Still tasted good.  Took the camera with me to take a photo of it with the toppings on (Kiwi fruit and Banana, even though bananas are very expensive at the moment,  $2.50 AUD each) but as usual, I got talking a forgot.  Sorry.  Looked good too :D

Today was busy, went to doctors  this morning about my hip.  Which is osteoarthritis.  Then took Joan shopping, but forgot the camera.  (Went to a nursery)  Will show some photos of the plants tomorrow.  Then home to make the Pavlova, then to the hairdressers, for a cut and colour.  Then to the meeting.

Tomorrow I am taking Joan shopping again,  (she hope to be able to drive next week) and will call into see my sister whilst we are over that way.  Then to a Tupperware party tomorrow night.  Kirsty is thinking of becoming a demonstrator.  Isn't it good to have things to do.

Hugs and kisses.

Sorry

I have had a very busy week, but not once, even though I had the camera with me, did I take a photo.

The doctor has put me on Blood Pressure tablets hoping that may be the cause of the headaches.  So far...so good.

Trawled through some old photos due to lack of new ones.  This is me at about 7 years of age.  Christmas you can see. In front with the dog, whose name I have forgotten, is my step grandfather.    Back row is my Aunt Lois, Uncle Jack at the very back, Auntie Jess and her husband Fred.
This is my mum with her first grand-daughter Narida, who will turn 50 this October.

This is my dad, mum, Grandmother and myself.  I was probably about 20.  Don't know where this is, but must be close to home as Gran has her pinny (apron) on.  Seldom saw her without one.

Anyway, my week has consisted of Monday......doctor.  Tuesday............Joan (who is home from hospital, but think I told you that) and some housework.  Had to borrow Joan's vacuum cleaner. Wednesday...........hip , plus worked in the morning. Xray in the afternoon. and dinner at a Football function.  Thursday..............Joan and some more housework and ironing.................Friday..........took Eileen to see Ken..........Lunch with Sandra and Margaret.  Just had soup and garlic bread.  Had one patient, then to pick up Jayden and Will.  Fed them, bathed them and put them to bed.  The have just gone to sleep (it is 10.30).  So will go to bed soon myself.

Hope the weekend goes extremely well.  Keep cool and safe and well.

Hugs and kisses.
