A lot about nothing.

I tried hard to get a shot of both the animals, but as you can see Cinders was having nothing to do with Mitch.  And neither would have anything to do with the camera.

Ethan wanted to make a mask out this paper carry bag, but unfortunately I didnt get in close enough to see his beautiful eyes.

Not much else happening, just the normal, school run, housework, etc. etc.

Hope you are all well, dear friend.

My homework

I did it.  I worked it out, so proud of myself.  Any way this one is a photo of the park we had lunch in and I added Mitch and Joan's dog George.  Not quite in proportion, and the shadow around George is not quite right, but I am fairly happy with it.  Very happy with the way the magpie came out though.

Now that I have got the hang of it all I am quite enjoying this class.  Can't wait to find out what we can do next.

Drama

Heard the lights and sirens, and they stopped outside.  Not very good for taking pictures at night, but the power lines on the other side of the street were touching the tree or visa versa, and the tree was catching on fire.  The Fire Brigade were there for about an hour, till I guess the branches had burnt back enough to stop touching the wires.  Jayden was very excited.  First time he has seen a fire truck and firemen working.

Have been trying to send you a copy of my homework for my photography class but it will not upload.  I will ask at school if there is a trick to it.

Had to go to a funeral today.  Someone I played badminton with for many years.  He had a form of lung cancer.  The one caused by asbestos.  I can never spell it. I think it is mesothelioma. Not a nice way to die. Quite a nice service, because I guess he was a lovely  man.  Adored his two daughters and his four grand-daughters. Did beautiful woodwork.  Worked as a woodwork teacher for many years.

A day out with the girls.

Went to meet two girls I worked with forty years ago. They live on the other side of Melbourne so we meet in the city. The above is a view of the Yarra river. Looking up stream.
Near the river is a skate park. Sorry not a very clear view. They had both skateboards and bikes.
Also along this part of the river are all the rowing clubs. These are a few of the club houses.
Cheryl (in the hat) always bakes us a loaf of bread and then we take what we want to fill it with. It was a lovely day, about 25 degrees, and not too much wind.

I had some left over schnitzel from the night before, so that is what I had in my sandwich.

Cheryl had banana in hers., Patsy had vegemite but she ate it before I could take a photo  :-)

A shot of the park where we were sitting.  This park is along side the river. and then a photo of the palm tree we were sitting under.  Then the batteries on the camera went flat and the spare ones were flat too.  So missed out on some more shots for you.  Never mind next time.

Easter Buns

And this is the inside, but you cant really see much because of the butter.  But they have sultanas and currents in them.

Not much else happening.  Been cleaning out drawers and cupboards.  Must be sick.  Also tried to polish up the silver cutlery and a brass dolphin. Must start using the cutlery I think as it was almost black.  Would probably not get so disgusting is it was used frequently.

Hope you and your friend are having a lovely time catching up and reminiscing .
