Near the river is a skate park. Sorry not a very clear view. They had both skateboards and bikes.
Also along this part of the river are all the rowing clubs. These are a few of the club houses.
Cheryl (in the hat) always bakes us a loaf of bread and then we take what we want to fill it with. It was a lovely day, about 25 degrees, and not too much wind.
I had some left over schnitzel from the night before, so that is what I had in my sandwich.
Cheryl had banana in hers., Patsy had vegemite but she ate it before I could take a photo :-)
A shot of the park where we were sitting. This park is along side the river. and then a photo of the palm tree we were sitting under. Then the batteries on the camera went flat and the spare ones were flat too. So missed out on some more shots for you. Never mind next time.

Oh, how lovely idea of a picnick in a park. Good company and a sandwitch in a great weather! And what a wonderful photos you've taken!
Great that you have places where you can walk and sit in a grass. Our public places in parks seems to have only walk paths allowed and if you walk in the wrong place you may get a ticket to pay... That's why I like to keep our yard as natural as possible, so it will be ok, though we walk on it the whole summer through.
And the palm trees looks so exotic to me! :D
We are very lucky here, lots of park for picnics. Lots have barbeques usually coin-in-slot so you can cook a meal. Some of the
Botanical gardens you are restricted where you can walk, but in the public gardens you can walk and sit where ever you want.
Old friends are like a pair of old shoes aren't they. Comfortable.
