Wednesday

Still wet and windy.  Worked a bit today and took Joan out shopping again.  I think she is compensating for not eating by spending money.   I did buy a new fan heater for the office today though.

Have plenty of work to do in the garden when it stops raining.  These daphnes have to be planted somewhere. Joan and Nils grew them from cutting of their plant, which I am sure I took photos of  for you last year.

Also this thyme, and not sure where to put it either.

My mum always had lily of the valley, so when I found some I just had to buy them.  Have to find a very special place for them and they can be a bit fragile.

Saw this "fairy bells" or tetratheca which looks pretty and is an australian native so just had to have it too :D

Looks like it will have lots of flowers.

Tried a new recipe tonight.  Potato pancakes.  Not bad, though I put in some ginger and used too much.  Were much better when I added some bacon and some nutmeg.

This is the new dressing gown I bought the other day.  The colour is just about right.  Found slippers to match too.  Should talk about Joan and her spending.  Have done a bit myself  :)

Hope your week isn't too hot for you.

Stay cool and safe ..........................hugs and kisses.

Oh, so many lovely plants you have! Hope you'll find the correct place for them all. Looking nice! Daphnes would be an interresting plant to find from here, too. As to grow inside, if not suitable for outdoors.

Never tried potato pancakes, though we use potatoes a lot. Looks delicious! :P

And the dressing gown looks great, too!

Still haven't had the time to try making the Pavlova, but thinking a lot about it. So hot here, that even the thinking starts to push out some sweat... And I'm not the only one saying so. =D
