Gone again.

The weeks are flying and I am really thinking I have to get my act together.  This volunteer job is turning out to be a bit of  a hassle.  Went to put in the application for the Working With Children form and they are so fussy had to have two lots of photos taken.  The first lot were too blurry.  Had the fumbles all day, dropping everything.  Still, it is now time for bed, so survived the day.

Went to a function for the football club last night.  We had a tremendous storm late afternoon.  Ro and I were out in the garage and got stuck there the rain was so heavy it just poured over the guttering.  The storm was directly overhead as a couple of times the lightning and thunder were simultaneous.  So loud.
Then had to drive the other side of the city and into town was ok, but took me a long time to get from the city to Footscray.  What would normally be about 15-20 minutes took nearly 45.  So I was a bit late.

I didn't think about the main meal, as it was served not long after I arrived.  It was chicken with sun-dried tomatoes or flathead tails, which is what I had.  Quite nice.
The sweets were vanilla panna cotta with strawberries, well, two slices of strawberry  :D
It was quite nice.

And golden syrup dumplings with ice-cream.  The dumplings looked nice too.

The trip home was a lot better.

My sister came over today, because she likes the corned silverside that my butcher prepares.  She didn't stay long.

Ro was here for a while, then after tea, Jay and I watched the Green Lantern.  Wasn't bad if you like that sort of film.  Am going to watch Avatar again this weekend if I can find the time.

Hope your weekend goes well.  Hugs and kisses.

11 weeks to go.  <3<3

There are these days when everything seems to go wrong and things just doesn't stay at hand. Luckily not every day.

We are now waiting a new snowstorm hitting our place at midnight. Over 20 cm of snow may come during the night. Good we don't have anything planned for tomorrow morning - there will be a lot of showelling to do before our car changes places... No thundering, though, not yet. ;)

Panna cotta looks SO tasty. I would like to try to make one someday. Would need a blow torch, too, to get the sugar caramellized on top. Yummy!

We planned for a movie, too, for this weekend, but changed it due to the weather. There's hard to find any place to park a car in Turku now that there's so much snow everywhere. Will go some other time. Though we still don't know what we would like to see. =D

Weekend has been good, thank you! And if we don't have a power cut, it will also continue that way. ;) Been out a lot with the dogs now that it's not been too cold. Got some photos, too, but 'cos there's some problem with the blog with many photos, I have to make some short postings now and again.

May is coming closer every day! <3

Hugs and kisses!

Things did improve, guess I was trying to do too much too quickly, which didn't help.

I have never tried to make panna cotta, and don't know that I would want to try, I don't have a blow torch either. Guess you didn't get to the movies :D

Still the countdown continues :D

Countdown continues, that's true! And by the way - I think we got the Skype working! =D Now I only need to find my headset (I'm sure it's at our daughter's). I think at the moment I would hear you, but you couldn't hear me. So, will look for a new one next time we go shopping! <3

You might regret buying a new one, I could call you every day :D

Don't go to too much expense I will feel guilty.
