Forgot to take lunch, which we had in a food court, and was nothing to write home about. (Or in other words, not very nice) Chinese food which I normally like, but not from these food courts where you don't know how long they have been sitting.
Also went into a new store called Zara. A clothing store which apparently has lots of other stores overseas, but not sure where from. Saw one top I liked but the queue for the fitting rooms was huge, and I don't have the patience to wait for something like that. So left it in the shop :D
This time took some photos in the Myer store, which I think I told you has been completely revamped. This is looking up the atrium.
This looking down from the 6th floor.
One of the light fittings on the ground floor.
The Escalators going down one side of the Atrium.
The store spans two blocks, and renovations have started on the second store.
I think they are both heritage listed, and therefore have to maintain the exterior facade.
One view from the top floor.
Came home by town, and whilst Southern Cross is where we go for the football, I haven't had time to photograph it properly. It was renovated in the last few years. Not sure if I like it. The smell on the upper level, where you have to go to access the different platforms, from the diesel trains of the country runs, was horrendous on Sunday.
This is the view of the Diesel trains where all the trains going to the country stations and interstate depart.
This is the local train services, which are electrified.
Looking up the escalators which provide access to the actual platforms.
Looking across at the other platforms. Sorry quite dark in here as it is fully covered.
Enough of that...................
Had my camera when I went to visit Joan, and she said she couldn't get George to stay still long enough to take a photo, so had to prove her wrong. :)
Round two went me :) He is cute, if not very disciplined.
Saturday, we had drinks at the chocolate shop, which I didn't take photos of, as I completing stunned with my gift from Pauline. For no reason at all she decided to give me this ring. She doesn't wear it, and although she has 4 daughters-in-law, she wanted me to have it. Isn't it beautiful.....................
I have always wanted an emerald ring, and now, thanks to the generosity of my friend, I have one. I am so blessed with the best of friends.
Hope you have a good week. Sorry this has been such a long blog :D

Well, I've learned too, that Chinese food needs to be fresh to be at its best. My husband often makes Chinese and we eat it straight from the wok, pan or pot after preparing.
There's a new store of Zara in Turku, too. Noticed it last Spring when I walked through a shopping mall of Hansa. Quite young looking clothes in the the display window, so didn't have the erge to go in.
Myer Store looks to have quite open window view - lots of sunlight coming in. Quite modern.
I don't like the smell of diesel, but my sister just loves it. So different we are. =D I remember when we were kids and stopped to get so fuel to the car, my sister always wanted to open the windows and we got a fight over it every time (I wanted the windows to stay closed)...
George looks adorable! And your patience was rewarded! Good of you! It is harder to take a photo of the pets when they are alert and excited. That's why my blog seems to be full of sleeping pets. =P
And the emerald ring is beautiful! Wow! You have a great appreciation from your friend! You ARE such a good friend! Suits you!
Hugs and kisses!
I feel very guilty about the ring. Joan who has masses of jewelery tell me it maybe worth $1000 or more. Makes me nervous now to wear it.
Not all the Zara clothes were for the very young. Some pieces I could wear. (and I am a lot older than you :D )
The Myer store has become very modern. Lot different to when I worked there in the 1950's. It was my first job.
