Some happenings

Went to see Red Dog as I said on your blog.  http://www.reddogmovie.com/  if you want to see the trailer.  Or just look at the dog.  Reminds me of my kelpie, which we only had for a short time.  As she ran away, and though we searched and searched, we never found her.  :(  It is a light-hearted movie with a bit of romance, and a bit sad too.)  Nice scenery of the outback as well. Set in Dampier which is a mining town in Northern Western Australia.

Am trying to fit a new lock to our side gate, but having lots of trouble.  First we couldn't get off the old lock, as one screw was rusted in place.  Had to drill it out, which wasn't easy either.  At the moment I can't seem to line up the front and back, so am having a rest and will try again after lunch.

Naturally the screw holes aren't in the same place.  So have to drill new ones.  This is one side, the one I need to work on. The large hole has to be made bigger and I don't have a bigger drill bit.
And this is the inside, which has been fitted.  The fitting is totally different to the original one.

Had to watch my football team this afternoon and after some planting didn't get to work on the gate.

I have a young friend who works for a sporting goods importer, and he gave Jayden a new basketball.

He is very happy with it.  He made himself his first omelette for lunch yesterday, and I forgot to take a photo. He was very proud of his efforts.  Lots of garlic, some cheese, bacon and lots of pepper.  Said it was delicious.

Bought some more cheap lace today.   So making lots more coat hangers.  Will get back to the vest soon  :)

Also hoping to start some crocheting next week.

Good to have you back.  :)

Thanks for the link to the trailer of the Red Dog. Feels like a very watchable movie. Try to look into the thing and see if it's going to be at our movie-rent's.

The new locks seems always to be different from the earlier ones, though you're trying to find a similar one. I've fought with a couple in my past. Hopefully you'll get it working as soon as possible.

And Jayden really looks enjoying his new basketball. =D I'm looking one of the older kind from the jumble sales - for the dogs. We had one a couple of years back, 'cos Mimi really likes to move it around the yard. She was quite skillful with it and knew exactly how to make it go where she wanted. But we forgot it outside one winter and it got flat. Footballs are too easily going broken in the teeth of the dogs.

And the omelette also sounded delicious. More the practise, more skillful he will become. And maybe also enjoying cooking like my husband.

Have a great week!
