Nearly a week.

These flowers arrived from the EastWest Committee.  Aren't they beautiful.  I have been so spoilt.  A constant stream of visitors and phone calls.

Yesterday someone arrived to do some housework for me.  She could talk underwater I think, but nice.  Cleaned the kitchen, bathroom, did the dishes, some washing and hung it out, because I am not allowed to do that.

Think I told you came home Saturday, and Cheryl looked after me.  She went home on Monday and Pauline took me to the hospital to have the dressings removed.  I had gotten them wet as the silly nurse told me it was ok.  And it wasn't, and they were starting to smell.  So they put a lighter dressing on and have to go back on  Friday.

Have a far bit of bruising, but this is to be expected.

When we got back, Ro, Kirsty, Jay, Ethan and Liam were here.  They stayed most of the afternoon..  Some other friends, Betty and Graham came over later in the arvo, and bought me some food.  Pauline had already left me a cooked chicken and some sausage rolls.

By tea time I just wanted to be ALONE.

Didn't sleep too bad.  Was able to sleep for short periods on my side which was good.  Don't like sleeping on my back.

Tuesday, as I said the cleaning lady came.  Then Erin came and worked, and most of her clients came in to say hello, which was nice, but again would have like to have a nap, but not to be.

Today, Wednesday,  Maureen came over for a short while, then the lady from the council came in to see if I needed help.  As a pensioner and living on my own I am entitled to assistance with the lawn mowing, cleaning the guttering around the roof, and outside windows cleaned.  At a very small cost.  If you know who and where to ask, we are very lucky with the help we pensioners can get.

then I had I was saying goodbye to the cleaner and some other friends dropped in, and whilst they were there Elizabeth came by.

Had some lunch and then Glenys dropped in and she hung out some washing and took stuff home to iron for me.  When she left and I tried to get some sleep, the phone kept ringing.  One of which was Barbara who was in my ward. And the flowers arrived.

I have had three phone calls since tea and now I am going to sit for a little while and read my book while I wait for the electric blanket to warm up the bed and I am going to try and get some sleep :)

Hopefully, apart from a quick trip to the dentist, I will have a quieter day.

Keep well.  Love and kisses from your Aussie Friend

Oh, how beautiful flowers you have got! Great! :) You are well liked and loved and everybody wants to give a helping hand and try to chear you up. But enough is enough. Hope you can have naps when you need them. Sleep is also necessary for the healing to progress properly.

Put the hook of the phone on the table or turn your cellular off and write a note to put to the door explaining, you're sleeping. I'm sure everybody will understand. My Grandmother used that when she lived in the Older's home and she had quite a lot of visitors on weekends, 'cos she had a lot of kids and their kids to visit her. She added the time when she had written the note, too. If we saw the note, we just went for a walk nearby, to make some shoppings, visited other relatives (if the note was just written) or something and went to her place later on. That worked fine, and she got the sleep she needed. :) Nothing bad in that.

Take care! :D

Sounds Like a good idea, the note business. Thanks for that.

Again tried to take a nap, but closed my eyes for about minutes. Never mind, maybe tomorrow :)

Just have a hospital visit in the morning so should be free the rest of the day.

Mind you, you have to waid for over an hour. Never mind.

Have a lovely day.
