Convelescing

Have to rest so they tell me, and must admit that at times still feel quite tired. We have a big dinner coming up on the 21st July, and I, knowing that I was going to be home, with not much to do, volunteered to put together this collage.
Our football team has only won one premiership, and that was in 1954. A long time between drinks as we say. Anyway, at this dinner we have the first year players and we have the "Legends". This year we decided to ask some of the surviving players from the 1954 Premiership side.

Someone came up with the idea to make a collage of newspaper articles from the day, and or photos. I think I may have mentioned that I went to the library in town to take photos of the newspaper. Anyway, here is the finished article. Not quite as artistic as I would have hoped, but does the trick.

So having put the pieces together it was decided to laminate them and use them as placemats. So, muggins here, (Stupid) had the job of laminating 26o plus placemats. It wasn't so bad, only took three days, with lots of breaks to rest me and the laminator, as it gets quite hot.

My next job is to fight with the mail merge and do the address labels. Not sure that that is this month though. I will check before I torture myself.

Each day is easier, and I have driven short distances without too much discomfort. Can't hold the steering wheel as I would like, but one day at a time.

It is tax time here, and I am in the middle of trying to do that too. We can lodge on-line here, and as mine is fairly straight forward, with just a few claims, shouldn't be too difficult. I only have to do it because I have just a few shares and have to get back the tax I paid on them.

Out for lunch tomorrow and then resting the rest of the week. Next week is hectic with appointments for one thing or another every day, plus the dinner. Life wasn't meant to be easy, so the saying goes.

Stay cool my dear friend. I think of you often.

So, you've been busy! Looking nice, though! Remember to take it easy and rest when you need it, too! Good to hear you are feeling better. The tiredness will stop when you are fully healed, I think.

Thanks, I am trying to take it easy. Rested most of today. Friend came over and gave me a manicure. :D

Each day is better.
