Well, well.

Her daughter, Karola, made this hazelnut cherry cake.  I didn't try it, but there wasn't much left, so must have been delicious.

What a wonderful surprise in the mail today. I was wondering why you hadn't mentioned my letter and along comes a lovely letter and a really fabulous scarf. Thank you so much for all of it. The scarf, the sharing and everything. I wonder if anyone goes through life unscathed?

Why didn't I think to put some photos in?

An old and dear friend, one of the girls I think I have mentioned that I meet in the city a couple of times a year, has offered to come here and stay whilst I am in hospital and for a couple of days after, to look after my animals for me.  She is looking forward to having a few days away from her husband.  Not that there is any problems, just that, as you will understand, sometimes you just need to get away.

She, herself,  is an only child and whilst she does have a daughter, and now two grandchildren, she is not very close to them.  So was telling me she had nowhere to go to get away, so I offered her the opportunity to come here, and she accepted.  I feel so relieved to have someone to look after Mitch and Cinders.

Rohan came and fixed up the rabbit hutch, so poor Mitch will be confined for a short while, at least until I can change his litter tray properly.  I know he will feel awful being caged up when he is used to roaming free, but, unfortunately, it can't be helped.

Anyway, we must both cross our fingers that one of us wins the lottery very, very soon.

Again, my most heartfelt thanks, for the letter and especially the scarf, it is beautiful.  And, naturally, I will think of you always when I wear it.

Keep well and stay thinking positive.

Nice celebration! And the cake tasted good, I hope! The pie seemed really delicious anyway!

And great that you got the letter already. That delivery was quite fast - it seems to surprise me every time. :D Sorry I didn't mention anything me receiving your letter. I ment to a few times. But in FB there were some problem and I didn't get the messages forward. And when I tried I somehow got myself thinking I did it. And when the FB worked fine again, I didn't remember the whole thing any more. But hopefully you were pleasently surprised anyway.

And so good to hear that you're getting help! I think it will be good for both of you. Your friend get a change in seanery and you company and much needed helping hands. Great!

Stay well!
