Recent happenings

Should have used a flash but wanted to catch Mitch in the act. He likes cat food, and will take it from wherever he can find it. I missed the photo opportunity, but later he found the dish empty, so hopped up on the step and threw it on the ground to tell me he as upset.
Because he loves to chew cords and it has been costing me heaps to keep getting them replaced or fixed, he has been banned from the lounge rooms. Not happy about that, so he scratched on the panel of wood we have keeping him out. We did have a chair there, but he just jumped over it. This is a meter high, and he can't get over this.
Me, Mum, I didn't do it.

Today we went to visit my sister, and Jayden went to the pictures with her grandchildren to see "How to train your Dragon". The kids said is was good, and the adults said it was fabulous. Luana said she cried through most of it. It is in 3D too. As good as Avatar, but all animated. Anyway, Jayden decided to take some photos for you on the way home. This is the main road near my sister. It is half an hour from my place.

Another shot of traffic, but this time near one of our big shopping centres.  Therefore, a lot more cars around,  and it is at the busiest time of the day, nearing 6pm.

This shot is a bit blurred as we were travelling about 80kph at the time, but he wanted you to see our big watermelon.  This is outside an orchard that sells to the public.  This is about 10 mins from my sister's, on our way home.

It is school holidays here, as we have four semesters.  There is 6 weeks off over Christmas, and then two weeks off between semesters, giving them 12 weeks off all together, which is probably much the same as you by the sounds of things.

Oh, my! Mitch is so cute! And smart, too! =o)

Thank Jayden for me for all those beautiful photos from the trip to your sister! Great to see you too have a lot of green trees near the roads. And the huge watermelon looks nice! What an idea someone has had to build something like that. =oP

I've heard that the movie "How to train your Dragon" is great. We seem to have so much else to do, we probably need to wait until it is on dvd-sales.

We don't have any week vacationtime on Spring in Finland. Some days here and there - like next Friday and Monday, 'cos of the Easter. Total semester from schools are about 14 weeks per year. 10-11 at summer, 2 weeks on Christmas and some of the schools one week on middle of Autumn season. Schools can decide to start week earlier after summer if they want to take weeks break before Xmastime.
