Wet again

Tuesday and it has started raining again this evening.  Apparently going to be wet all week.  Again.

Yesterday, (Monday) was a beautiful day.  Sunshine all day.  Went and fed the chooks (Hens) for Joan, and realized I didn't think I had taken any photos.  Sp here they are
A but closer, there a six altogether

only four eggs and it is two days since I have been.  Not sure if they will survive much longer

When I got back someone was definitely enjoying the sunshine.

When I got back decided it was too nice to stay home so rang my friend to see if she wanted to take her hubby out for the day.  When I got to her place, she decided she need a day to herself, so just the two of us when up the mountain to a little town called Olinda.  We wandered a few shops, they have lots of antique stores, and then went and had devonshire tea.

First the Jam,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,strawberry

Then the cream.  Must admit not as nice as the clotted cream from Cornwall.  Plus a big cup of hot chocolate.  Yumyum

Took Eileen home then did a tour of my garden..........

Those bulbs I wasn't sure of..........well they are jonquils

One of the tulips ready to open, looks pink.
And this, I have no idea.

Haven't been sleeping well, so going to try and get to bed early tonight.  Joan is coming home tomorrow, so should feel better then.   I have been missing her a lot.   Did take too friends to the football on Sunday, and although their team one, it was good to have the company.

Have a great week, keep safe.  Hugs and kisses  <3 br="br">

Haa, comment moderation photo is visible! =D

Great to see the chooks, does they have any rooster in, too? My grandmother had always at least one. Said the chooks layed more eggs that way. Rivalry. ;)

Demi is in exactly the same position than Mimi when she enjoys the sun in the livingroom. How funny! Susu also likes the sun, but she's mostly in more "catlike" position, her paws under her. ;)

Those buns, with strawberry jam and cream, are they sweet or salty? I mean if they are like little breads or sweet buns that can be eaten as alone, too. There seems to be both in my dictionary. A bun is either sweet or breadlike, though they are totally different kinds of buns. We have own names ("pulla" is sweet and "sämpylä" is a salty one) for them here in Finland, so we can easily separate them. Hard to explain, hope you'll understand what I'm after. ;) And this "salty" doesn't mean they taste salty, no, but that they are not sweet by taste.

Looks SO yummy. And by the way - I like whipped cream to be thick and clotted, too. If it's too watery, it feels a bit "undone". =P But I suppose there's the weather that may affect, too. If there's a thunder nearby, then the cream just doesn't want to get thick, what ever you try or for how long you whip it...

Good to see your flowers are coming up! So great! Looking nice!

When you have a kid at home, it's good to go about and have some adult company, isn't it? To have some time for you, in a good company. More energy to run all the normal chores afterwards.

Hope you're not having any extra worries there! All the good thoughts sent your way!

Take care!

Hope my last long comment didn't go to waste. Don't remember what I wrote any more...

About chooks, Demi and the buns for sure. Still wondering if the bun under the jelly and cream is sweet or not. =P

And the flowers are beautiful. Enjoyments of keeping a garden. :)

Be well!

No rooster. Being in the city too many complaint about the crowing :D

The buns are called scones. They are self-raising flour, milk and butter. Just a tiny pinch of salt. Served with Jam & cream traditionally or with butter and jam. Very English. They are yummy and very easy to make. Best served hot straight out of the oven. These days, of course, mostly microwaved to heat up before serving. Oh well, can't have everything. :D

Things are ok now, just get a bit low sometimes.

And yes, enjoy some adult company at times.

Hope all well at your place. <3 <3
