A few days down the track.

Not sure where the time is going, but don't seem to find time to up-date as much as I would like.  Behind in my journal too.  :D

This is the church at St. Enoder.

Today is Friday, yesterday we went to St. Just, Land's End, St. Buryan and stopped off in Truro, or rather Malpas just out of Truro on the other side of the river for tea.  Barry from the B&B recommended it, and although the views were nice,  (see further on) we prefer the Wheel Inn.

Might try to get an inside shot tonight, but is really small and crowded so not very confidient.

Anyway, at St. Just, we found the main church and searched the church yard to no avail.

This is St. Just.  It was a lovely church inside.  Have quite a few photos.

Went to the library, but they don't open on Thursday, even though the doors were open.  They were having, I think a computer class, and we got shown the door.  Quite abrupt.

So went on the Cape Cornwall, which is were I had been led to believe was the farm that Margaret Mitchell's family owned.  Couldn't find it, but after today, seems that we were on the wrong road.

Went out to the cape anyway, and I dragged Dave up the hill.  It had stopped raining, but it was so cold and windy.  Glad I had my thermals on.  I really thought a couple of times I could have been blown over the edge, and we took the easy path  :)

It is as steep as it looks, and as bleak.  But worth the effort,  at least I thought so, not sure about Dave.

Unfortunately because of it being to overcast, my pictures  haven't come out as well as I would have liked.

From there we went onto Land's End as it wasn't very far.  Just to say I have been there.  Become very touristy apparently, and tomorrow the Olympic torch arrives there.

Couldn't even keep my hat on.
                       .

From there we went to St. Buryan which is closer to the East coast , where we went down closer to the west coast.  This is where we believe James Trezise and Margaret Mitchell were married.

Another lovely church and were able to get inside, but no luck in the graveyard.

They have an appeal for a new roof, so had to buy a slate.  Left a message in the visitors book too.  Think I signed at St. Just too.

This is the inside, it was about this time that my camera battery died.  Have to talk nicely to Dave and see if I can use some of the photos he took with his lesser camera.

Will try and do another post tomorrow.  Off to tea.
