Good News

Went to the hospital yesterday.  Had to wait about an hour, and they told me it is a cavenoma, and that I was probably born with it.  They will check it again in 6 months and if nothing has changed then, we just forget it is there.

From there, after some retail therapy, a black jumper and a red jacket and a black scarf and some some lovely white bath towels, and hand towels. Sorry not good photos.

Then I went buy a stuffed dog for Joan to have in hospital, then took it too her.  She is still a bit sore and her throat is a bit raw.  She can only have clear soup and jelly for two weeks. They anticipate she will lose between 7-9 kilos in weight.

Then home and had a quick bite to eat, and then got ready to go to my nephew's engagement party in Geelong which is the other side of the city and over 60kms from here.  Took me over 2 hours as the time I went through the city was peak hour traffic and very slow.  Once on the freeway it was great.  :)

 This is Ben and Kristy.
And this has to be one of the biggest chocolat MudCakes I have seen.  Sorry the flash obviously didn't work properly.

This is one of the decorations around the place.

This is my mother-in-law.  Looks good for 87 doesn't she.

My son Shaun and wife Mandy.  (Just noticed this is outside the toilet  :D

May do more later, Jayden is just "Desperate" to get on the computer   :D

Hope you are well and having a good weekend.  Hugs and kisses.

SO GOOD to hear the good news! I was thinking of you many times yesterday.

One of my work related friends has a cavernoma, too and she was in the hospital for a week before they made the diagnosis at last. She had no symptoms of any kind, but there was some rutine age check up at work where it came out in some tests. And when it was found also doctors were scared a bit. Went to see her in the hospital and she was almost waiting to be dead in an hour or two. Can believe what kind of relief it was to hear it wasn't actually anything too serious. Though cavernomas can grow a bit in time and even bleed, if I understood right, they are not usual to make any serious damage. Your doctors seemed to be more professionals and didn't panic over this in the first place. Or you otherwise you are really tough person. Either way, good news is GREAT!

And how nice finds you got! The red jacket looks so beautiful and there's always some use for towels, too. :)

Joan will have long two weeks, I suppose, but later on it doesn't feel so bad any more, when she gets better. Hope she'll be well soon.

How cute couple! Engagement parties as as nice occations as weddings, I think. So happy! <3 And the cake seems like it couldn't be but delicious. =D

By the way, I've looked at the similar looking bird cage here, for putting some plants in. Something sprawling. Though would prefer the live birds in a larger cage. =D I know we don't have enough space for them with all the cats and dogs already in the house. Loved my budgerigars, though, that I had when I was a teenager (got them from my cousin).

True, your mother-in-law doesn't look a day older 70. Really. As you, yourself, aren't looking older than 55. Is the Australian sun more gentle to people than sun in other countries? =D

Shaun and mandy looks so happy and nice, too. Wouldn't have noticed the toilet, if you wouldn't mentioned it. The balloons attracted the eyes more. You really have handsome sons!

We have six computers on daily when we all are at home - and the one of the boyfriend of our daughter as well, when he's here. Couldn't cope with turns these days. So much of the schoolwork is done by computers today - some in the internet, too.

Birthday party coming today and otherwise something to do inside - still storming. But will have a good weekend anyways.

Hugs and kisses!

Thank you for your concern.

I am having problems with my wireless network, don't know how to make it secure. Apparently anyone can log onto it.

It was ok before the computers crashed and I had to have it reloaded. Someone hasn't set up a secure pathway and I am not sure how to do it.

One day my son is coming over to help, but I am not holding my breath. I might ask the husband of another friend if he will come and do it for me.

Men can be useful..............sometimes. :D

I don't know either of how to make the wireless connection secured. Hope you'll have it fixed soon. We live so far away from others there's not much risk of someone connecting to our net, but still we secured it. In the city it's much more important - at least if you have to pay the connection due to the use. Lots of connection here is payed at monthly amounts, used or not used.

Hope it will be warmer there, too! Or dry at least. ;D

Take care!
