woeful weather

Been a bit down again, but busy.  Was supposed to go out for lunch on Monday, but that didn't happen as Elizabeth was not well.

Tuesday decided to attach the garden again.

These are the branches that I cut off.  They had sprouted after I cut the tree down about two years ago.
This is the pile of smaller branches and leaves. They are very sharp little leaves.
And this is what was left when I had finished.

The leaves and little branches I will cut up for mulch.  When I get time to take them to Nils to do.

After all the trimming of the leaves I decided to attack the stump to try and remove it.  Also dug over the garden bed and did some weeding.  There is buffalo grass which grows beautiful in the garden bed, instead of in the lawn. :)   It sends out runners everywhere and the roots are sometimes quite deep.

After I exhausted myself doing this, I showered and changed and went out to a football function.

This function was at the football ground and they have shop which sells all sorts of things for the supporters.  As you can see.................a small sample of what you can buy.
This is a shot of the room from the back with all the guests milling around.
This is at the front of the room, and  looking out over the football ground.

A couple of the players were interviewed, and asked a range of questions about themselves and how the team was going.  The new season starts in a few weeks.

Then we had our first course.

Which for me was chicken parmigiana.  The alternate meal was a beef hot pot pie.  But don't know what happened to the picture of that.
Sweets was either bread and butter pudding, as pictured, and a strawberry cheese cake. But again the cheesecake was not only eaten physically but by the camera as well :)

Worked Wednesday, but had Jay overnight as Rohan had a check up at the hospital about his sore knee. Also went to see the counsellor yesterday, and hopefully she will help me with some of my problems.

Today has been cold and miserable, did get the washing almost dry.  But short showers this afternoon.

Hope your week has been good.

So, you've been busy in your garden! Wow! I'm just anxiously waiting for the time to get my fingers to the mould again! ;)

There's a lot of people in footvall function. You have active fans. We don't have but a small bunch, about ten to twenty in every occation. Only when there's some bigger victory, especially of Sweden, there may be more people. We are not so into particular sports here.

And the food looks so delicious! Now I got hungry - haven't eat anything yet. Will wait for my visitor to come, and we'll eat together. In couple of hours. :)

Busy day ahead. Have a great weekend!
