Jayden came over on Friday night. Took him home again Saturday afternoon. Spent some of Friday cutting down a tree that was growing under the power lines. Then Saturday trimming it off so that I can hopefully borrow a mulcher. Garden desperately need some mulch to keep down the weeds.
Sunday I was up early (for me) and went down to Lara to pick up my mother-in-law to take to a family reunion. She is the only one left of her generation, but a lot of her nephews and nieces get together somewhere every year about this time. This time it was a Barwon Heads, which is about 30 kms from Lara.
This is looking towards the bridge over the inlet.
This is to the left.
This looks like a lovely path along the foreshore, but didn't have time to take a walk.
This is the shelter where we set up our tables and chairs. It wasn't a very nice day. The wind was fairly cool. It had rained nearly all the way down to Mum's, which takes me over and hour and a half, but had stopped by the time I got to her place, and didn't rain again for the rest of the day, luckily.
The little person in the centre with the red coat is Nancy, my mother-in-law, with her nephews and nieces.
These are the husbands and wives of the nephews and nieces.
Some of their children where there too, but there were too many to include everyone. It was a good day, and good to catch up with some neither Mum nor I had see for many years.
My friend Cheryl, who lives in Altona, which is on the way home, rang me whilst I was taking Mum to do some shopping on the way home, so I decided to call in and see her. She wanted help with her family tree, but wasn't able to help much. This detour meant I didn't get home to after 9.30.
When I got home I discover I had left the gate open in the yard, and Mitch was outside. Fortunately, he did not venture out and was sitting in the yard as good as gold. But, unfortunately, he wont come inside, so I am still sitting here waiting, yet again.
Hope you had a good weekend. [Didn't win the lottery :( ]

Been having some troubles again with postings and commenting. :/ This keeps asking me new word verifications again and again. Hopefully this is coming through.
Your trip to Barwon Heads with your mother in law and her nephews and nieces seemed lovely. The tree beside the path to the foreshore looks beautiful. And the one behind the group photos, too! We have nothing like that here. You had quite a bunch of people together. Great photos!
And Cheryl must have been happy you could visit her on the way home, too.
Hope you got Mitch inside at time you could get enough sleep.
Hugs and kisses!
These trees are interesting aren't they, lots of character. The winds bend them in all directions.
Yes, it was a good day, and Cheryl seemed pleased.
But dear Mitch has been banished to his hutch because he didn't come in until 9am.
Hugs and kisses to all
