Went out for lunch and did try hard to get photos for you, but the camera would not work, no matter what I tried.
Seemed the batteries were too flat to take a photo. Didn't show up as low battery though. Really must look at buying a new one.
Did manage to take these photos after recharging the batteries.
Have had my ex-husband here for a few days. Went easier that I thought. Still glad I divorced him though :)
He didn't require a blood transfusion this week, but he slept nearly all day after getting back from the hospital.
Sorry to say your present has not turned up. I am so disappointed for you.
Did I tell you I didn't get a present from either of my children. I showed my elder son all the gifts I got, but still no reaction. Thought he might have said, sorry we didn't get you anything, but no, nothing. I have to admit that I am a bit hurt. Feel like I don't matter to them. Have been very depressed, but am getting over it.
The girls that I went to lunch with yesterday (Friday) gave me these garnets, which is my birthstone.
The photo doesn't quite do them justice. Though you can see the colour a bit.
Have started the new jigsaw. Took ages to try and find all the edge pieces, but have succeeded. So now on with the show. Will take ages I am thinking :)
Hugs and kisses

Sorry to hear you have some problems with your camera. It is frustrating if it doesn't work as it should. I have times that I would like it to work in freezing conditions and it's not up to it. Many a good photos untaken because of that. But are you sure the problem isn't fixed with a fresher batteries? In China, batteries were more expensive than new camera, but here in Finland they are cheaper - don't know why. Easier to use familiar camera anyway than to learn to use the new one (in my oppinion).
The flowers you photoed are beautiful! Something we don't have here. I like all the flowers that grow like this (lupins, gladioluses, foxgloves etc.). So many flowers open at one time.
Sorry to hear your ex is not feeling fine. Sounds like the treatments are really tireing. Must be hard on him, too.
So sorry, for the missing present. Would be nice to know where it's gone. But I put a message to the shop I bought the present earlier to explain the situation and to ask if I could have some discount from the similar thing I've bought earlier, 'cos it was ment to go as a birthday present to a very special lady all over the different side of the globe. AND I got the message back this morning (on sunday!?) that I'll be getting a new one at lower than half price. They were so gentle and understanding of our situation. :D So, now I just have to wait until they get it transfered to me and this time I will make the insurance, what ever the cost! Want to be sure it is going into your hands this time.
Though I'm so sorry for you not to get any presents from your kids. Boys are not so understanding I suppose. I think they don't mean any harm, but are a bit thoughtless. I know my husband feels it's enough of a present when we go and visit his mother at her birthday. Though I would like to go at least with some flowers or other practical things (she lives in even smaller house than we, so don't want to fill her closets with some unnecessary things either). Understand the feeling of neglect though, that I would feel in your place. We people just are made of different things and that's life.
The jewelry you got looks so beautiful!
You seem to start jigsaw the same way I do, edges first. ;D My brother makes different easier things inside the puzzle first and then in the end finishes with the edges. Got some new puzzles as Christmas presents, too, but haven't had a chance to even try any of them. Got two different sizes of puzzlemats, too. Crocheting goes first at this time. ;D
Lots of hugs and kisses on your way!
I am sorry you have to go to that expense. I really would have preferred you not to do that. Beacuse I know you can't afford it. Just the thought that you sent something was nice.
The new batteries seem to have fixed the problem. The camera is always showing low battery so hard to know when it will fail altogether:) I agree, not sure I want to learn a new camera. :D
It is "stinking" hot here today. Nearly 40 deg. And looks like staying in the high 30's all week.
We will not go bankruptcy because of this present of yours, so don't you feel bad because of it. There's a little tale behind it, but you'll know it when you get it. ;D
I recharge my batteries for camera once a week - never mind what the camera shows. Or then just before some important happening. I've noticed the camera takes more of the "broken" kind of photos when it's low on patteries, though it doesn't yet give any warning about it. Important thing to work properly if wanted to take photos anyway.
It's getting warmer here, too. Though not close your's yet. ;) Around zero and sunny today (gave me a migrane and just had to check my e-mails - and visited your blog, too). Sun is not always "a friend".
But hope your Sunday is going on well!
