Wish I was back there.
So peaceful.
Getting brighter
A long shot of our units.
I had plenty of time to fill in and remembered I hadn't taken photos of the back of the units.
We had our own pool, but apart from preferring the ocean, the pool was very cold at this time of the year as it is very shaded with all those palm trees.
On the ferry going back to Townsville. Can't understand why we were smiling. This was a very modern ferry, and we were inside and upstairs. We were still quite sore from the sun yesterday and didn't want to get anymore burnt.
This is a layout of the ferry, but should have turned off the flash. Silly me.
And some units there too.
Bye bye Townsville. Townsville is the second largest city in Queensland after the Capital Brisbane.
We left at 2.45pm and arrived in Brisbane about 4.30pm. Just time to get from our plane to the next own. Lynne was trying to send a text and they called us a few times to hurry up.
We were due in at Melbourne at 7.30pm and were originally told that we would be early. But there had been hail and thunder so had to circle around for half an hour as there was a delay getting other planes landed ahead of us. Landed about 8pm. And the usual, waiting for luggage.
We have a long term carpark and courtesy buses to take us to our cars. Cost us about $90 for the 8 days to leave our car there, but would have cost well over $100 to catch a taxi. We could have asked someone to drive us but it is over an hour to get there and back, so easier to leave our car.
Quite tired and couldn't be bothered un-packing, but had to say hello to the animals, and check out my email. Also, neither Kirsty or Rohan had checked the answer machine to had a lot of messages to take down. Probably got to bed about 1am.
So far today, it has rained but nearly as heavy as they predicted. But the day is still young. Well, about 5.30pm. Hope you have a lovely Sunday. It is Father's Day here tomorrow.

What a nice shots of the sunrise! Most of our windows are towards the East, but still so rarely I see the sunrise - well at summers we don't see it, 'cos the sun actually doesn't go down at all, but in the autumn and at winters. And so difficult to get a good photo. Yours are so beautiful.
Good to have the possibility to barbeque on a holiday, too! We have this kind of possibilities only if we rent a cottage - or spend a night at a camping site. And our barbeques looks quite different. Yours is used by gas, isn't it? Ours are mostly used by wood. Tried to find a photo of one from the net, but without success. Well, they are not very pretty anyway...
The trips from home to the holiday place and back always seems to be so frustrating somehow. I'm very bad at waiting... We also have here a carpark that has it's own terminal bus going back and forth all day and night. Much cheaper than taxi or even bus or train. Don't remember what was the cost when we had our car there for a month when we spent our summer in Italy where my husband worked at the time. Only difficulty when we came back, was to fit all our extra luggage in a tiny car, but we did it somehow. :)
Our Father's Day is at the begining of November. After all the harvesting and such are over and done with.
Have a great weekend!
I must admit I am quite happy with the sunrise photos, and I am not usually up either. Because the mountians are to our east, we don't really see the sunrise either.
Yes those bbq's are gas I think. I didn't use them, so they may have been electric.
