St Pauls Cathederal is opposite the main station at Flinders Street, this is an Anglican Church
When I arrived in the city about 40 minutes later, I met my friends Janet and Margaret with whom I went to school, and we caught a tram to the new Harbour Town.
Just before Christmas last year they opened a new Sky Wheel. Just a few months later during the heatwave in February, they found that the wheel had buckled. Therefore it has to be dismantled and rebuilt at some astronomical expense. You can see where work has started.

Another view of the wheel. My mother-in-law went up in January and the views are suppose to have been spectacular. Over the city and the bay.
The shopping precinct here is almost deserted, mainly because of the failure of the Wheel, which would have been the drawcard to attract shoppers and tourists.

Wow! These are really fabulous photos! Wish I could've been there with you! The wheel looks really giantic, so when it's ready, there will surely be great views. I just wonder if I would have the courage to go and see the view, though. I'm a bit afraid of these large equipment-buildings.
Here again! =o) Visiting your site and going through the photos.
Hope to have some updated photos soon. Have you been getting my comments on your blog. Not sure if I am doing it right
Received a few comments from you, but I don't know how many you've made. So, can't say for sure I've got all. I always answer the comments I get, so you can check that way. =o)
