King Island Wallaby

This was taken when we went to King Island a couple of years ago. King Island is off the north coast of Tasmania and about 22 kilometres long. There is very little industry, except one of the worlds biggest exporters of kelp, which has lots of uses, especially in medicines. They also have a great beef and dairy industry due to the lovely pollution free atmosphere. Nobody locks doors done there still, and their mild is pasteurised and not homogonised like on the main land.

This is to make up for not taking photos at John's farm

Nice Wallaby! Truly I don't know what is a difference with a kangaroo and a wallaby. Is Wallaby a little smaller?

We don't lock our doors at daytime yet here in the countryside, but when we lived in the block of flats appartment, we did. For the night I still do. I can't believe how I could carry my keys everywhere all the time back in those days. There's not been any kind of assault or a robbery here like in ages. One about ten years back what was own family member. Adult son took his parents computer, tv and video equipments and sold them in black market to get some money. But somehow that doesn't count.

Yes a wallaby is smaller and darker and the head is smaller. Must be nice not having to worry about locking doors.
