Before Earth Hour

Well, Jayden left this morning, and although Ro came back here for a couple of hours, the place seems empty. Everything went smoothly.  We were at the airport in plenty of time, but due to road works missed the exit home and had to come the long way.

This was his plane, couldn't quite get far enough back to get all the plane in.  Gee, the cockpit looks so tiny and cramped from here  :)  I was surprised how confidently he went off, which is good.  He has always been very timid, so hopefully he is growing up a bit.  I do hope he has a good time.  They are an hour behind in Queensland as they don't have daylight savings, so will ring him shortly, just before Earth Hour starts here which is in half an hour.

Had to show of my bromeliad.  The flowers are so spectacular aren't they.  I think I will buy some other varieties. I will have to try and find out this particular variety.  I tried but could quite match it.

Anyway, that is all the photos, tried getting Mitch with his ears up, but he kept moving  :D

Football is back and am going tomorrow afternoon.  Whoopee.

My sister and I are going up to Bendigo, which is a country town or city really, about 2 hours by train from the city.  They have a exhibition on Grace Kelly, photos and clothes.  Supposed to be very good.  This is on Tuesday.  So hope, if they let you take photos, to have something to show you then.

Have a great weekend, and enjoy Earth Hour.  Lots of love

So, Jay left and I know it's going to feel different without him around. Though you seem to have nice plans for yourself, and that's good! =) Hope Jay will have a really special time at his mom's.

Wow, what a flower Bromeliad is! Never seen one anywhere else. So beautiful!

And even if you are not allowed to take photos in the exhibition, please take some from the overall scenery how it looks in Bendigo. Sounds really great. I'm going to the theatre tomorrow evening with my sister. Last time is years back, so it's about time. ;)

Bendigo was a gold mining town back in the 1800. But quite a thriving town now. They have a talking tram which runs through the centre of the town and talks about the historical buildings as you pass them by. Quite cute.

Also houses the largest chinese dragon in the southern hemisphere at the Chinese museum. Will check my batteries and do my best ;D
