Spring cleaning

Two beautiful days, Tuesday and Wednesday. About 25deg on Tuesday and 22 deg on Wednesday. I decided it was too nice to be inside doing boring housework. So out with the wheelbarrow and started to shift the sand into the sandpit. It must be about 6 weeks since Rohan shifted the framework. I had to reline it, but instead of plastic used cement sheeting.

The boys should really enjoy playing in here with all this nice weather. The cover it to keep out the cat and the rabbit. Hopefully.

The sandpit used to be out in the carpark area, but we decided it was too dangerous out there for the little ones. Now have to get rid of the left over sand and dirt that accumulated around it in the time since I took the sand out of the original location. That must be at least fourmonths ago. Had to wait for Rohan to be in the mood to shift the frame and for me to feel fit enough to barrow the sand. I had to do it over the two days.

Feeling my age today. Plus the wheelbarrow was about to collapse. Have to get it welded. One of the legs is cracked. Hopefully all will look a lot neater. Hope to put in a raised garden bed along the fence to grow some vegetables for Mitch.

Looks nice! Seems like you've been working hard in the yard, too! Our wheelbarrow is also fixed many times and now is waiting for a new tyre.

Here in Finland we have a lot of sandpits that has its cover made of wood and when it's opened it comes as a sitting place on both sides of the pit. But the plastic should be as good for the use, too. Nice thinking, to keep the animals off! =o)

Sorry there has been nothing to add to my blog. Cold and wet and windy. Although today was fairly nice, but more wet weather to come. Had a bit of touching up to do inside. Takes me awhile to get motivated, but think it is all done now.
